Recover Data From System File: Raw

Dec 3, 2008 1:08AM PST

My external hard drive encountered a ?Read and Write? problem and after that it became inaccessible. The File System for this external hard drive is now ?RAW?. I used ?GetDataBack? and ?PC Inspector File Recovery? programs, but none can get me anything. I used Easy Recovery program under RAW Recovery and it recovered many files They are in GrinIR0.PST, DIR1.FLC, DIR2.HQX, DIR38.PDF, DIR65.JPG, etc.

The Recovery from both Raw Recovery and Advance Recovery mode are the same.
All the recovery data are ?in Pieces?. I have stored individual back up programs in this external hard drive (instead of burning it into disk), such as Nero, Winzip or PDF books, etc. All of this info is now scatter amount these recovered Dir folders. For example, my PDF book on Photoshop or other medical books have all of their Chapters in the book scattered into individual PDF file instead of ONE PDF file in the folder ?DIR38.PDF?.. When I click on a Winzip file it won?t open because part of the Winzip content is located in other Dir folder and I don?t know how to find all these pieces together so that Winzip can open it. What good is Raw File Recovery in Easy Recovery program if I can not use the info it recovered. Is there a way for me to collect (to find) the individual pieces of my back up program together so that I can burn it to disk.

'What good is Raw File Recovery in Easy Recovery program...?

Have you asked the creator of the Easy Recovery program? Go to the source. Sorry, but since I always have backups of our files, I've only used the program for a couple of simple tasks to recovery one or two files at a time..

Hope this helps.
