recording tv programs to laptop

hi

i want to record tv programs on my laptop. i have rca out on my tv and a s video port on my laptop. can i recieve signals though s video or only send signals.

please tell me. i am new to s video.

Since your laptop has no "IN" port.

You'll have to add a TV/capture device to get this function.
