Audacity usually doesn't include the MP3 encoder so folk that dive in and missed reading the install notes would ask your questions.
My question is thus: What audio encoder was used?
Hi there,
Thank you in advance for your time here. I am stuck and appreciate any help you can provide. Here is the situation:
A colleague and I have started a podcast. We record from different locations using audacity. She has a mac and I have a PC. I will be editing our recordings using audacity before publishing them. The trouble we are running into is getting her audio file to play on my PC. She sent me the original audacity file, but my PC version of audacity didn't recognize the file. So she converted it to a wav file. While I can now open it in various media players, there is no sound! And audacity still won't let me import it like I do with wav files recorded on my PC.
Before she and I go any further, I wanted to see if anyone knows the best way to handle this. Is there a way to convert her files so I can open them in audacity? Or should we be considering another approach altogether?? I really appreciate any insight or ideas you might have. Thank you!!
