Samsung's recording feature is encoded and locked to this model TV. There is no support for pulling the content off the HDD for editing on a PC.
So given that, you have to use other solutions. The Samsung system is locked down hard. There are prior discussions so I won't duplicate it all here.

I have a Samsung Smart TV, model number UE48JU6400KXXU.
I wish to know the best way of recording programes onto a device that I could then edit on my laptop.
Do I just get an external hard drive? Or Should I get a PVR (Humax for example), and can I get stuff off a PVR for editing?
Also, I don't think the model I have has its own integrated PVR even though the remote has recording buttons at the bottom.
