audacity, which is free; or buy Audio cleaningLab for about $40.

Copying cassettes to Computer

I am trying to do the same thing, I bought a device called Instant Music from Ads Tech. It came with a CD with Nero Software, however I have a higher version of Nero and I don't know if that is the problem or not. I did have to buy a RCA cable connection to plug in to my cassette player. I have memorized the small user's guide and for the life of me I can only record 1 second of music. I have been at this for two months. Trying to get support is like pulling teeth. Would someone be able to help me with this?
I have an AMD Athlon 3700, 200 G HD and 1G of Ram.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Gayle

All you need is a RCA pin plug to 3.5mm stereo plug to go from your cassette deck into the line input of you PC and the sound editor from NERO( which version?). Bring up the Nero Wave Editor, do some settings and record. John

Nero Version
Feb 15, 2006 3:11PM PST

John, my computer came with ver. 6, and I liked it so much that I purchased ver. Ultra 7. The reason I purchased the Instant Music converter was a short video on one of the CNET newsletters that implied that I needed such a device to perform the function.

I have been grinding my teeth and pulling out my hair, so I did what I should have done in the first place...REASEARCH!!!.

Thank you for your helpful reply.
