From the Samsung-site:
Anynet+ is a function that operates through HDMI 1.3 jacks and lets you control up to twelve Samsung devices with your Samsung TV remote, with up to three of those devices being of the same type (for example, three DVD players). Anynet+ can only be used with Samsung devices that have the Anynet+ feature. To be sure a Samsung device has the Anynet+ feature, look for the Anynet+ logo on the device.

And, alas, TV's can record. You need a recorder for that.

Is this what you bought: http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/review/mobile_phones/samsung/c450/223382/specs
I don't see any hdmi on it. And I shouldn't call it a TV either.

azafayath,

Is this a U.S. product, or purchased in a different region?

I understand that some regions may allow recording certain inputs onto a thumbdrive, but that capability is not available on U.S. models to my knowledge.

azafayath,

Most of the HD content, particularly with HDMI, has a block to keep people from recording HD broadcasts. I don't know if that's applicable in your region or not, but you'd have to contact the Samsung customer service center in your region for that information. I just don't believe it's possible.

The record button may be for another recording device, like a Samsung DVD-R or VCR player.
