Question

RecordFinders Removal

A while back I accessed a site called RecordFinders. I was unaware that I loaded anything from that site. Now I keep getting a popup from them when I open my browser (Chrome). How do I stop/remove this? There is no app to uninstall.

Answer
Usually because of push notifications.

RecordSfinder - https://recordsfinder.com - BLOCKING

the RecordSfinder - https://recordsfinder.com - site actually comes up under another url briefly - http://www.ptntrack.com - then the notification comes up. I've tried blocking notifications from both urls and so far am unable to block them. If I get pissed off enough I'll drive to the RF office and "re-negotiate" their notifications. I've done it BEFORE and it's UNPLEASANT.

Were you ever able to find a solution to this problem, or did you have to become 'unpleasant'? I feel like I am approaching your latter sentiments Sad It is starting to really pi## me off too. Thanks.

I think I just found a way. If you go into 'settings', 'advanced', then notifications, you will see the blocked sites first. Click on the 'add'. Type in https://www.recordsfinder.com and add it. THEN add the push url (I think that is what its called) https://www.ptntrack.com Hopefully that will work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!
