Record of Google searches vanished

by Judesman / April 2, 2009 1:11 AM PDT

When I double click on the Google search bar I used to get a long list of previous searches. This has now vanished and any new searches are not appearing either. I haven't altered any settings or stored information so I don't know what has happened. The funny thing is that this list still appears in Alta Vista (Not that I ever use this search facility). Does anyone have any ideas please? Iam using XP.

if you're using something like CCleaner, it removed them.

it has never removed the list before and new searches are not being recorded although they are being listed in Alta Vista which I don't use.

Thanks for your reply.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
