gives quite a few hits.
http://all-streaming-media.com/record-audio-stream/record-streaming-audio-Mac-OS-X.htm for example, doesn't seem bad for $20. But this is just one hit from the first page.
Hope this helps.

There are A M radio streamcasts (such as coast-to-coast) which play on iTunes but which are up way too late for my tired old eyes. [And If this is not the proper forum please direct me to the correct one and i will switch to that.]
Is there a Mac friendly product not costing an arm and a leg that can record the stream for my own personal use to be played back out of my own hard drive at a more user friendly hour from my perspective. Kind of like VCR time-shifting. The Audion (which i have) solution of recording to CD would be overkill even if i Could get it to work. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Signed, old iMac guy with old iMac, slot loading graphite PPC3 running still with OS X 10.2.8 with LOTS of gigs of memory not in use.

Google for it.
Audio Hijack costs $16, there is a demo, and will record an iTunes radio stream for you. It even has a scheduler
Also, please note that the same post in two forums does not make the answers come any quicker.
I will delete your duplicate post
How about moving to Panther, 10.3 as you have lots of memory, (I think you mean hard drive space) and your machine can handle it. You will not be disappointed

Thank you for the advice. i will try that next month after the eagle flys. as i noted in the message i was not so sure which forum to enter the question and thought i could slip one by you. silly me.
As you know, the change to Panther is fraught. Many on the www who say they are selling it are selling an emac version or one with not all the discs. i found (once) an "upgrade version" for people who are already at 10. 2x for about $90. if it is still around after i win the lottery i thought i would buy/try that. i have already downloaded the firmware update from apple that goes into classic because it was free.
OK, "Memory" (ram) is the onscreen stuff that can remember right? and hard drive space which can remember much much more and for an even longer time. Got it. Geez! No wonder i am always confusing apples with bigger apples.
Thanks again
Well whud dya know? the new software works beautifully. The recording was in the neighborhood of 1,1 gigabytes as an AIFF. This is for the entire 7 hours of the Coast to Coast show on the radio station that carried it but the first part was rerunning last night's show when i went to bed for the night. Now it is morning, i am listening to it on, quicktime, and i can just listen and dump it (record over it) when i am all through with it or edit and save any of the parts i want to listen to again. This product, i bought, ''Wirtap'', http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/wiretap/is a mac only product, but there is a similar product for the PC blokes called ''Replay Radio''
