Recommendation on Spam software

Dec 11, 2003 5:10AM PST

Hi everyone,
I'm just about fed up with the oodles of spam I have to wade through every time I open up my e-mail box! I'm running Win 98SE with Outlook Express as my e-mail program.
I've heard about ELLA, but heard it's only for Outlook, not Outlook Express. Has anybody had any real good results with a software package (preferably free but doesn't have to be) that stops this pardon my french...'crap-o-la' at the server before it gets to my in-box? I'm more than willing to take the time to "train" the software, and I know there's a number of packages available via C/Net Downloads. I just thought somone might have some recommendations.
Thanks to allHappy

Spam software

This is a very old post. As a bookkeeper/accountant for a wholesale/retail co. we were getting on average 100 spam emails a day. I found Mailwasher for free and then upgraded to MailWasher Pro. It worked great and decreased my time to delete bogus emails from 45 min daily to about 3 to 5 min. It eliminated about 99% of bogus or spam email.
