For Europe GSM is the only way to go. And also India and I suppose China. You MUST have a phone that operates on 1800 MHZ or you will be up the proverbial creek.

Nokia phones all use the same charger and seem to run forever and ever.

Stephen in Rome who owns 5 GSM phones.

I will be in Rome in 1 month, I have two unlocked GSM cell phones, one operates on 850/1800/1900 the other 900/1800/1900. They should both work there right?
