Recomendations for Gaming computer and companies

Nov 23, 2004 8:22AM PST

I intend to purchase (rather than build) a fairly high-end gaming PC, and I would like to learn what experience others have with various companies, particularly the so-called boutique companies Voodoo, Alienware, and Falcon Northwest. Especially important to me is the quality of the company's telephone technical support. Hours, ease of use, and English speaking technicians. Many companies, like Dell, outsource their telephone support to other countries, as we know, with very frustrating results. Thanks for any input.

Expect nothing from support except for the machine.

One of the issues that plagues users today is finding support from the machine maker for issues about XP, Spyware and such. You'll get support for the machine, but no one seems to talk to you about what problems you'll have in real life.

Tell us if this changes.
