recharging the tungsten E

is the charger that comes with the E a "smart charger"? or do i have to get some kind of cradle or something in order to smart charge?

Tell what you mean by smart charger. I will share that my rechargable Palms sit in their (Palm made) docks for years and don't overcharge so I could write it's smart.

yes,,,,what you have is what i mean,,,,a charger that does not overcharge. but you have a cradle. i want to know if i have to get a cradle or if the charger that comes with the tE is a "smart charger"

The smarts are in the PDA.

I see where you're going.

The actual charging circuit is in the PDA. For the models we've dissected all are "smart" in the way you ask. The cradle has no "electronics". It just passed the +5V to the connector. The PDA did the rest.
