1. Try a bigger antenna.
2. Exchange it and hope the next one has a better tuner.

I have a problem:
I have recently bought a Samsung TV, model UE40H6400. When I first set it up, everything was fine and I was receiving all the channels I would expect through the inbuilt Freeview HD.
Now, I have also bought a Samsung box. It is the BD-H8900M. I was hoping to use this mainly to record tv and also play Blurays. Since this also has Freeview HD, I did not expect any change in the available channels.
But, with the aerial going through the box, I can only pick up a fraction of the channels (30 approx instead of 120!) and none of them are HD.
Even if I have the TV source just on 'TV' instead of HDMI1 (which is the socket with which I have connected the box) I still have reduced channels; all the HD ones stop working! But if I turn off the power to the box, suddenly all the HD channels come alive again.
Obviously this is not very helpful and at the moment it means I cannot record from any HD channels or others that are knocked out by the box being connected.
Please can you advise!
