Very nice, elegant camera. Menus not as good as on the Casio, but the pictures seem better, especially in the dark. The D-Lighting function sucks, it degrades the quality of the photo immensely, I haven't compared it yet but I think using software to brighten and reduce contrast on the computer is much less damaging. The red eye reduction system is excellent. The face priority function seems pretty good, it can pick out a face with glasses, a face in a picture, or a face in the mirror, although only from straight on (not profiling). I haven't tested the FP function on multiple faces yet. The video is odd, or at least it seems odd, because it takes quicktime rather than windows movies, and I suspect more computers have windows installed than quicktime, although it's a free download. The 2.5in screen is pretty visible in sunlight, which is good since there's no optical viewfinder. Even better, it's slightly recessed which should keep scratching and smudging down. The body, including doors, is all metal except for the tripod mount (???) and a little bit around the socket that connects to the dock. The camera feels like quality, while the dock is plastic and feels cheap.
