Question

Recent Computer Crashes

Hello people far smarter than me. Recently, my home-built computer has been running into some serious issues, most notably sudden and extreme lag usually followed by crashing. The first time it crashed it showed an unknown error report, and the second time it said it was a watchdog violation error. The PC has been running fine for a while, so I can only imagine it was something recently added, but aside from windows updates I can't think of what could cause something this severe. It was running slowly after one of the reboots, so I looked at task manager and saw system interrupts running at 100%. Other things have been running unusually too, such as YouTube videos being unwatchable because of choppy audio. I'm not sure what's happening to my computer, but I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

Here's the Web Speccy of my computer currently: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/vrSHhcLt2ORVWMWHEgZHTqf

I did notice this. More below it. Seems you are being used as a webbot for Microsoft's update sharing peer to peer a lot. Link on how to turn that off below. Also you have the SkyLake processor, and Microsoft just put out a microcode patch for intel processors, and the one taking the largest slowdown under certain circumstances is the Skylake. Not much you can do about that, since the protection is needed. I think if you shut off "update sharing" with others across the internet, quit having microsoft use your bandwidth to supply updates to others, things should speed back up for you.
