Receiving VHF (Channel 7) on Samsung LED TV

I've been viewing both cable and OTA signals on my Samsung 8000 series LCD TV with great results. I'm getting 18 DTV channels and a couple "legacy" analog signals here in Austin (thought all the Analog stations had shut down).

I'm getting all the UHF stations, but we have one 100KW (FOX) station on channel 7 and despite pointing the indoor antenna (Wineguard VHF/UHF SS-3000), I can't receive it. I'm thinking there may be something I've not configured right. Is there a configuration entry that controls this? Haven't found one. I'm picking up UHF stations over 60 miles away, so I'm surprised I can't pick up this VHF stations that is clustered with all the local (15 mile distance) UHF stations in Austin.I tried the "auto program" and it never picks it up.

I have an old TV with a ATSC converter and it picks up the stations great, strong signal strength on the second floor of the house. I'm using a telescoping antenna about 15" extended, so I know the signal is strong at my location.

Am I missing something
Thanks

Did it work?

In reply to: Receiving VHF (Channel 7) on Samsung LED TV

It might be too late for this. But did you find a solution to this problem? I am facing the exact same issue in Austin on new Samsung LED. Can you please tell me if it worked for you any other way?

VHF Channel 7?

In reply to: Did it work?

Wasn't that taken down with the move to DIgital TV? It is no longer here in San Diego.

auto-program cant find

In reply to: VHF Channel 7?

Fox does look like #7 from dtv.gov or antennaweb.org just like San Diego seems to have CBS/8 and ABC/10 in VHF. DTV mentions these channels as "Hi-V" instead of VHF, I am not sure if that is any different. Also I ran auto-program on the TV, so the TV should be able to program them all irrespective of UHF/VHF unless I missed any configuration.

All I can offer is it is gone here.

On the day of the change, it went away.
