in handing out 300 million dollar contracts?! It bothers me that our government seems to be so easily duped.
Didn't anyone do any checks on the company, it sounds like it barely exists. Since their bid appears to be lower than the next highest by at least 200 million you would think that would raise some red flags. It does look like strings being pulled by some powerful people. Or someone in just the right position.
I think the public (or someone with the ability) should demand an investigation and get to the bottom of this before it happens again. And again.
...the bureaucracy, with all it's regulations, can get beyond this,...let a contract with a qualified entity,
and get on with the job.....and investigate this one while the work goes forward.
Investigate via legal and criminal channels, not congressional hearings, and follow the "political" money involved.
Rosalie, you may be right. Searching the founder's name I found that he was a heavy Democratic contributor and the statement " Farouki, who founded Nour, is a Jordanian-American who lives in northern Virginia. He and his wife are prominent socialites in the D.C. area and frequently attended White House affairs during the Clinton administration." Did you notice that picture of him with a President on the Nework evening news?.
Then we must consider that currently Bush is in power. I start to smell an ADM, somebody playing both sides of the fence. With but a few minutes of sniffing around his name, I'm starting to smell a 3-way smell.
Hi, J.
The guy at the top has primarily Democratic connections, but most of the others apparently have Republican connections. A perfect example of a company trying to get political favors regardless of which party is in power!
