Reboot Problem

Dell Dimension 3000
OS: XP Home

Last weekend I changed Computer Desks, when I went to reboot my computer, I got the Dell Screen and then it went to a blank screen and a flashing dash in the upper left hand corner. This flashing dash is there for about 5 minutes, then the OS starts up and it works find. Before I unplug my computer, I was not having any problems with it. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

Was this a one-time hickup?

In reply to: Reboot Problem

Or does it happen every time you boot?

Did you shutdown before unplugging the power on the old location? Or did you just pull it out while being in standby or hibernation mode?

No I shut the system down properly.

That's one of the two questions answered.

Before unpluging my computer I didn't have this problem. Now everytime I reboot, I have it.
