Nod to "Another Fine Mess (1930)" movie.

Anyhow you have first hand experienced why I don't like Microsoft updating drivers as well as those driver update apps. Drivers do not wear out.

1. Since you can use your integrated graphics, boot up and go get DDU to remove the drivers for the r7.
2. Now google "How to disable Windows 10 driver updates." This is not to be confused with Windows Update.
3. With Windows driver updates disabled, test your R7 under a few conditions.
a. Just plug it in (I will omit how to do this as it's in the product manual and safe methods such as power off, removed is something you must be a master of.)
b. Now install the driver version that worked.

at this point it should be working. If not there are hardware issues that I see all the time (failed GPUs) and beyond what I want to convey here.)

c. Now update the GPU driver if you feel like it using the driver from the GPU maker or AMD.

That screen

Can take hours to complete. What Microsoft tried to do (and in true form did) was to hide what is going on as the animation is playing. It could be doing a long chkdsk, scanning for drivers or something else. If I can't wait I try a SAFE MODE boot.

Otherwise I set it up on the fire pit so we can leave it overnight to see if it works out the next day.

What is this "fire pit"? Because there is a remote chance computers and almost any electronics can halt and catch fire we have a special place for unattended gear so if there is a fire it won't burn down the building overnight.
