Reatime performance

I just bought a new tablet PC and I;m really struggling on how to make it fast. the upload and download time is slow. I generally need to speed things up a great deal with realtime performance. I would appreciate tips on how to do this.

Given this is a Mac (Apple) software forum and you write "tablet PC" you may be (a) in the wrong forum and (b) in need to supplying the make, model of the thing.
