Rear Projection LCDs for gaming

Jun 16, 2005 8:31AM PDT

Hi,
I am moving out soon and I plan to make a home theater in my new house so I'm looking for a new TV.
I would like to know if Rear Projection LCDs are good for gaming so my children could play games on the home theater. I would also like to know if there is any danger of burn-in with these kind of TVs.
Thanks for your answers.

From what I have read there is no "burn in" on LCDRP or DLP. I am planning on doing some gaming on the T.V I will be buying in about 2 months from now. I have heard playing games on these types of sets will burn the bulbs out quicker than normal due to all the bright colors and movement that comes in the games now days.
