Turn off UAC when you do that update. If that fails, wait for Real to fix it again.
I have windows vista home premium 32bit and several months ago I had real player 11 on my computer and it worked fine, right. but then it tells me that there is an update recommended for download from real networks so after it updated real player would say in a little box called "Autoupdate", "To Complete this software installation, you must reboot your computer. Click 'Reboot now' to close all applications and restart your operating system/ otherwise, choose 'close player' if you would like to restart windows later." But every time i click reboot now it still says the same thing.even if i restart manually. it says that on all user accounts except the administrator account. I've uninstalled it restarted and then reinstalled and it does the same thing. I've tried to disable everything involving autoupdate and updates in the admin. acc. but it still does it. I even told it the last time I tried to install it that we had no internet connection, but it didn't change anything. I've tried installing it on both the admin. account., as a standard user and neither one changed anything. I Don't have windows vista service pack 1 installed yet because of the problems I've heard it has even though it is supposed to fix some too.
Oh, Also, it did the same thing with realplayer 10.5 from realplayer's web site.
