RealOne Player

Thought I'd share problems I had with ReaPlayer subscription. I found a0 that they had chrged me twice for using their software and b) I changed from SuperPass to SuperPass Europe they went on for 18 months charging me for what are identical programs.
Now they are partially refunding me, but say they are unable to go back more than 10 days. Whilist I have no gripes about the software, I feel this sort of behaviour needs airing and I have warned then I am so doing.

Re: Cancellation of Real Networks SuperPass

I want to warn anyone in Australia NOT to sign up for the "Free" trial period with Realone Superpass. The only way you can cancel is to ring a 1800 USA number an impossibility from Australia even with Skype. I am sick of paying for something I don't use and can find NO way to cancel Superpass or Unlimited Movies both of which I downloaded on the CNET site.

Two things...

1] You have posted this in reply to a post that is over 3 years old.

That's not the best way to get your point of view noted. Members will see the age of the original post and will move on.

2] What are you continuing to pay for? If Realone Superpass is still taking money out of your account contact your bank and tell them to stop it.

Re: Cancellation of Superpass

This was the only message that I could find regarding Superpass. I have tried to stop having the payment taken out of my bank and they inform me that they have to be notified by Realnet themselves. I am really sick of trying all methods to stop this payment being taken out of my account and maintain that the whole thing is a take and cannot believe CNET push it on their site. Perhaps they should put a notice in with the download that if you live outside USA you cannot cancel the subscription
If I sound angry it is because I AM!!!
I have been with CNET for a lot of years now and this is the first time I have been disappointed in downloaded software.

Your bank refuses to take your orders?
Apr 6, 2008 6:16PM PDT

Sorry, perhaps it's because I live in the UK, but I really don't understand.

Here, no bank will refuse to cancel any payments, regular or otherwise, where they are instructed, in writing, to cancel.

The only way they could refuse is if there is a court order on the account.

Perhaps it is different in the US?
