It meets all of your criteria. The only downsides (for others) are the relatively high price and relatively short zoom range.
The only other camera that may potentially be compareable is the yet to be released Panasonic LX8.
Full disclosure: I own an RX100 (original model) - Mark
I'm a fine artist who paints oilpaintings from images on my computer screen. I do mostly realistic landscape work so I need a camera that can shoot something close to a 50mm so it will look like I see it. I'd like something fairly compact so I can keep it in my pocketbook, or car at all times. I don't mind spending up to like $750 or even 1k if it will also shoot in low light ( I like to do night scenes) and I really seriously need a view finder because I can't see dig screens in bright light. I've been considering Canon powershot G 16, G15 G 12, Sony Cyber-shot DSC RX 100 III and the DSC RX10, Fujifilm X 20, X 10, Panasonic Lumix DMC LF1, Olympus Stylus 1, Nikon Coolpix P7800 ... I'm not wild about any fold out screens as I'm not all that careful . I also live on an island so I can't go into a store and look through the lenses, I need to order this online. I'd sure really appreicate if you could help me narrow this field down or suggest something I've not yet found. I'd also like to use the camera to photograph my finished work which can be big or very tiny. I really appreciated professional input more than I can say. This is really important to me and I've been trying to figure this out for MONTHS...yes months... Thanks in advance!
