Hi please help,

The problem i have got is:--- For some unknown reason when i click on internet explorer i get a small error window appear which says:-IEXPLORE
"cannot get data for ad" so i click on the ok button, then my home page loads, but, so does the send error report window, and if i press send, or dont send, the whole thing disappears including ie.So i am now back to desktop but cant get into internet explorer. I can however get into msn explorer !!!
So i gather it a internet explorer prob.. I veiwed the error signature and this is what it says if its any help to you:---Appname:-iexplore.exe
Appver:-6.0.2800.1106
Modname:-kernel32.dll
Modver:-5.1.2600.1106
Offset:-00013887
P.S I have tried system restore to no avail...
It only started to do this from yesterday..
I have also uninstalled any programs added yesterday.
Also , i get the same error message when double clicking on some other desktop icons.

If i have to re-install ie, how do i do this.
I am no techie, so please be gentle with me....
Thanks in advance
Darren

In reference to the IE reinstall..
Dec 18, 2003 1:04AM PST

Had to do this yesterday to a WG computer- if you have the XP CD-place it in the drive, or if your build has the i386 folder stashed somewhere-find it before hand, then do a search for ie.inf, right click it-select install, then when asked for cd-or where the i386 folder is, browse to it and let it run it's course- the IE reinstall runs fairly fast, reboot and if the behavior is still there -something has really hijacked your browser-time to start digging...when I did this yesterday it cured things the user didn't even realize were not right..
