Does anyone know a way to convert real player video into another file format so i could use windows movie makker or sonic MyDVD to burn it so it could work in a regular dvd player

According to the specs for that program.

AVI to RM - Yes
RM to anything - No

Real Player has been very agressive in protecting their property.

like a virus than an application. It tries to embed itself in the system.

I assume its main value is protecting content on the producer side? Who would want to use it if you can't read old content in.
