Real Oldies Question -- What Replaces a Clock Radio?

by jayessemm / December 6, 2014 11:39 PM PST

My thirty year old bedside clock radio is dying and when I look for replacements there ain't much.

I have home theatre, HiFi, streaming bla bla bla elsewhere but I'd like something on my bedside table that shows the time, can wake me up to music and lets me play music as I fall asleep and I can operate in the dark, half asleep without my glasses.

My mobile phone and my tablets are both Android. Is there any sort or easy set up to use my Android stuff and still do all that thirty year old "clock radio" stuff?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

It doesn't take much.

Just last year I replaced one. Didn't think much about it. As to the Android, no. Since so few Androids had AM radio, that's a simple no.
