That definitely made my favorites playlist.

EXCELLENT! One of the best ever.
Figures it was made in the UK. A few years ago, they voted Homer Simpson as their favorite (oops... favourite) American by far. The next closest were Lincoln and MLK, Jr at a distant 2nd and 3rd.
Homer: 40%
Lincoln: 10%
Martin Luther King: 10%

That's EXACTLY the same thing I was thinking of.
Yo Joe!!

I thought I was the only one who had been programmed with that Answer-Reponse...
Was I alone in wondering why millions of rounds were expended and just by running and doing flips no one ever got hit?
Sigh. Good memories!

.. They didn't have bullets, per se ... They had lasers .. G.I. Joe had red ones, and Cobra had blue ones.
Ahhh, the memories of the 80's .. G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, He Man ... ![]()

Heh. Yes, they had lasers. All very sterile. No messy trauma with lAAAAsers. ![]()
The only other cartoon that comes immediately to mind that you didn't mention is Scooby Doo.
I can actually remember playing Barnstorm on an Atari 2600 before and after our favourite cartoons.
Did you do any "programming" in Logo? Own an Apple IIe clone? Play Joust, Lode Runner, Zork, Wizardry, Dino Eggs, Karateka, World Championship Karate, Decathlon, Test Drive...
But I digress. Badly. Oh! The Humanity!
- Micah
I had forgotten to mention Scooby Doo, but it's been around LONG before the 80's, however, A Pup Named Scooby Doo was part of my Saturday Morning ritual.
How could I forget Logo programming on the Apple IIe .. I remember that in middle school, the school had an actual remote control turtle that operated via IR any program you made in Logo ..
That was THE coolest thing!!

So maybe you had paddles for playing Pong and its variants as well. You know with the thumb button and the wheel-on-a-spring.
Good times!
