You CAN use your wireless headset with XP for $20!
by robstak / August 15, 2007 5:54 AM PDT

I actually found this first on C|Net after digging around for about 20 minutes:
http://reviews.cnet.com/peripherals/microsoft-xbox-360-wireless/4505-3132_7-32312736.html

It got a lowly 6.7 rating, however for paper-thin driver support.

Here's the specific mention of the wireless headset:
http://www.lockergnome.com/nexus/game/2007/02/27/xbox-360-wireless-receiver-for-windows-now-available/

Apparantly the usb RF receiver allows you to use ANY wireless 360 peripheral with XP. I think this whole integration thing is really interesting, but do people really know about it? You know you can plug in the web cam and a wired controller, right? Definately beats my circa 1996 Gravis Gamepad!!! :-P

Seems an good choice for Skype ...
by deecaywonder / August 19, 2007 10:21 AM PDT

Wow, thanks for pointing that solution. I was thinking of getting the Wireless Station for the XBox 360 Controller in order to play Super Nintendo emulator on my laptop, but was hold back because of the price. Now that I know the wireless headphone will also work, the cost of the station seems to be more justifiable. At least my mom will think so (more Skype chat with her will sure makes her happy :>).
