read image data failure 2882:1118

I don't now whether this is the right forum, but I'll try:

Today, starting my benq 500E scanner I encountered the following message: read image data failure 2882:1118.
I know I've got the right driver installed, because it's the newest version and it always worked.

That's always the first thing they tell you, but of course I checked whether I had the newest driver and mirascan software: MiraScan v5.01u07
No problem there, it's the latest version for my Benq 5000E.

Thank you, Bob & VC

Updated drivers you suggested, but with the same result.
So I phoned the technical service of Benq Spain. There they suggested to use the new driver for another model, the 5000U. I downloaded the MiraScan 6.2(5000U) and it worked perfectly.

I think that computer science is really abracadabra because the millions of factors that are involved.

Again, thank you Bob & VC for your help and time.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
