come different winner.

dell is best value.
sony is best style.
ibm used to very good in laptops, but now not so sure.
best in performance is maybe alienware.

i have a dell, I have had a gateway, toshiba, compaq ect.. and the best by far is the 2 computers that i built myself.. by the individual parts guarantees that you get the best of what you want..

Dell is great to upgrade

dell has great cases, uses intel Motherboards, great info about their stuff. but you need to buy them cheap to make worthwhile. They were having some great tdeals in last 2 weeks, I brought 2 new dEll 8400 with 915G chipsets and Matrix RAID on the MB for less $720 has 3.2E CPU,256meg 6800GT video,16X DVDron,16X DVD burner,audigy2, 512meg ram, 160sata drive 56K modem and windows Media Center but didn't come with tuner card but I have Avent at home with slipstream software.
