re-using CD RW's for MP3's.....

Sep 3, 2007 2:53PM PDT

I have recently purchased a DVD player/Navigation unit for my car which can play DVD's, CD's, CD-RW, MP3's, WMA's on CD and DVD. Since I like to burn my own CD's and download new songs often, I tend to waste allot of CD's by making new Cd's with the same songs only having added a few new ones. I am planning on connecting an Ipod which will solve my problem. But for now I was wondering if I could use CD-RW's to add, erase and add new mp3's to it?

I have tried this but it doesn't seem to work. When I burn a CD with Mp3's using Nero, I can no longer remove them. I get a message that says that they are read only and cannot be removed. This there a way that I can erase and re-use these CD's?

Since the unit supports cd-rw,

I can't see any reason why it would not work. Are you using single sesson method (not multi-sessons)?

what was I thinking......

OK I am going to feel really stupid posting this now but I found out my problem. I was putting the CD-RW in the DVD/CD ROM drive and not the DVD/CD RW drive.
