if you resize the vista partition with a program other than the Vista utility, Vista won't boot. it happened once for me , i have used the free GPARTED LIVECD and this made me say "Goodbye Vista"
and back to XP.
i think that i saw an article somewhere describing how to cheat with this Vista annoyance, maybe a tool called something like ntfs-resize, . Google for it!
My 80-gig hard drive has 2 partitions. Is it possible to re-size the Vista system partition? I upgraded from Win2k and am rapidly running out of space on the C drive-- less than a gig left, which is not good. I was able to shrink the D partition using Vista's DIsk Management utility, but this utility doesn't seem to work to expand the system partition, C. Partition Magic 8 will not work on Vista either. Can anyone provide me with a clue here?
Thanks for any and all assistance!
