Occasionally, printers get "lost" on a computer or the print spooler service stops working. The easiest first step is to uninstall the printer and reinstall it again, setting to default if you wish. If you don't happen to have the installation CD, visit the printer manufacturer's website, where you should be able to download the correct and newest driver software.
Hope this helps.
Dear Cnet; Recently the settings were lost/overwritten for my HP 6200 officejet all-in-one printer. I've been using this printer for several years on my old Compac computer, I'm now using an Hp Pv7 laptop, and the settings got messed up trying to resize photos being sent to the printer. How do I reset the printer instructions, how do I get new drivers to replace what's been messed up? Failing that how can I simply reset the printer protocol to accept the HP6200 as default? RLMW.
