Re:Passport printing software not an Int'l Passport....

May 11, 2006 11:10PM PDT

Hi Room,
I could see that you all misquote the question i asked.well anyway am not printing a VISA PASSPORT NOR ANY INT'L PASSPORT0.
But i am a digital photographer and i own a digital studio ofwhich i take a normal passport photograph for ID card and forms....
But you people thought i wanted to be printing a VISA INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT no way...So the question i wanted to asked the othertime was"DOES ANYONE HAS THE ID CARD IMAGE RESIZING SOFTWARE"cause i cannot use an ordinary windows picture and fax viewer to print a passport.
So that is all what i want but if anyone has an HP Image Zone Express software could still do something with what i mean.
Till i hear from the room. Thanks for your replies

I re-read your old post and it may the English is tripping us up here. I won't discuss that further if you don't want to.

HOWEVER, even IRFANVIEW (a free app) can print to a specific size. With all the software out there I'd be surprised to find that you could not crop and print to your intended size.

The last time I went to get my passport renewed it was at the postoffice and they did the photos as well for a price that I considered so low that I wonder how a passport photoshop could compete. But that's another topic.

If you're looking for a program that will assist you in creating passport size photos for a passport, license, or ID then this program will help you.

Passport Photo at www.onthegosoft.com

-------------------------------------------------------
Passport Photo Program Complies with Requirements for Biometric Passports

Recently, the European Union, United Kingdom and several other countries have started using biometric recognition systems for border control. To allow these systems to function, strict requirements are being enforced on passport photos. According to the new specifications, the head size must be between 32 and 36 millimeters, and occupy a certain area of the photo.

To comply with these new requirements, OnTheGoSoft has updated Passport Photo, to include these exact settings. Now, you can use Passport Photo and create photos that will be accepted by EU and UK passport offices. The same program also includes settings for 2x2 inch photo, and ensures correct composition for US passports.

A precision cropping tool lets you verify that the photo composition matches your country?s requirements. It also shows you the resulting dimensions of your photo, and the print size of the head. This way you can be sure that what you print is what you need.

If you have a good photo printer, and are using high quality paper and long lasting ink you can print your own photos. Otherwise, Passport Photo will save a JPEG file that can be printed in any shop, just like a regular photo. Then, all you?ll have to do is cut the photos and submit them.

One of the most useful programs I've ever bought. This program assists you to easily, efficiently, and correctly create passport size photos. For $9.95 (similar to photo store prices for just a single set of passport photos), you can just repeatedly create your passport photos until you're satisfied with the final results. If you're not satisfied with your appearance or clothes, just do it over...hehe!

The photos are up to specs and accepted. I've used this program to create passport photos on myself, family, & relatives for US passport processing/renewals.
