If you have the OS on CD, get an external USB drive (DVD/CD) this is a pretty common item used to load software to netbooks. Flash drive input also another way but my question would be, what created the issue in the first place? It is possible that it could be a hardware issue so a bit more information regarding events which led up to the dilemma might help.
I have an Acer Aspire One ( AOA 110-1722 ) , this has Xp loaded.
My problem is that I can't boot up - I get to the welcome screen, then the list of Safe Mode , Last known config etc, appears. When I enter anyone of these it goes into disc check. Then the cycle starts again. How can I either reinstall XP I have a CD b which I can use on my desktop, this also has an SD reader. As far as the Acer is concerned there is NO disc drive and I have no remote hard drive - just USB stick and the existing 8 Gb SD memory card.
Would XP portable on a USB - get me going ??
