re-installing XP

Jul 2, 2007 7:53AM PDT

My computer is 4 or 5 years old and is very slow. I have 512mb of memory and a pentium 4 processor, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to re-install XP with the DELL XP disc that came with it. Of course I would back-up my most important files if I did this.
