Re: How can i network my Home Computers with my router??

How can I network my computer with my router, and it keep connection. I have a linksys router with two wireless cards for the laptops and some usb connections as well, i have one hooked up sraight thru a LAN cable, but i cant seem to see all the computer thru each other, i cant even print thru all the computers. I had it working one time but it will want work anymore, for some strange reason. Can you help me out

Howzit bro....

First: tell us what operating systems each computer has

Second: give us the models of each computer for each operating system

Third: did you update any of the systems since you had them working and tell us what updates were performed on each machine

Fourth: which wireless protocols are you running on each (i.e. a/b/g)

Without this info..I don't see how any of us can help much. We'd be shooting in the dark.

Two of the desktops went down for some reason, I dont know what to do now! But I still have a laptop and one desktop to work with. If you still want to assist let me know!

Gather up what you want to use..provide the info..and give an idea of you experience.. this will help with communication..

Don't forget to the model# of Linksys router. All computers have to be on the same workgroup in windows. John

First of all,

you need at least a 4 port router, or if it isn't enough, get a hubb.

To network you home computers, you need a cable, that goes from the network card to the router, connect the computer, enable the computers internet connection... by going to "Network connections" in the start menu.. and wala!
