Re: Defaults.ppr

Hello All,

My system one which I run Windown XP SP3 survived a serious error last night. However it seems to be running well now. However today I noticed a strange file in My Computer Folder. Defaults.ppr.

Since it suddenly appeared there I get the feeling I may have got a virus. I scanned with Avast and trend micro online. They found nothing.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what is Defaults.ppr and its function.

Thanking you in advance for your usual valuable replies and comments.

Hello whitebread,

Thank you for the reply. The response time was really quick.

I tried googling the term but could find no real answers. I really wanted to know the definition so that I could understand it because what I have read is a little bit vague to me.

However I will continue digging up.

Thanks again .

Hello whitebread.

I saw a file of it in the My Computer Folder. It probable came in as an advertisement with the download of a Duplicate File Removal trial Program I downloaded day before yesterday.

I unstalled the program because I did not give many options and I did not want my wife nor I both of whom are not so computer savy to use it and something went wrong. The file was still there but could not be opened. I deleted it from the system. However I can find the website petrtaining to it in google search.

From what I read it seems to be good education if one understands it. I run a small business and it may open up my eyes to some things.
Meanwhile thank you for replying. Any further information you can give will oblige.
