re: analyzing cookies in IE 6

Mar 8, 2005 9:41AM PST

When looking at cookies in internet options..settings..view files...IF I right click and try to select the "open" option, I get a message that warms me that "running a system command on this file might be unsafe." So I never do. I can right click "properties" or "open in window" , delete, but not Open without the warning. So, what happens if I do it????? Any info or danger there?????
thanks ready27

Since a Cookie file is nothing more than a text file, I would have to assume you have something screwed up which is supposed to open such using the Open commmand. If you right-click, select Send To, and then select NotePad for opening a Cookie, what happens?

but I ignored it and clicked OK, (or Open, I can't remember which). I never got blown up or anything.
