But users could be supply with a shortcut that would have the needed setting.
Is there a way to create dns record that would result in users not require to type port number in address? These addresses are for RDP connections. We have multiple computers and business users remotely connect using Remote Desktop connection. There are few port forwarding rules set on the firewall of the router. These forward ports of respective computers. Examples are given below
- subdomain.mydomain.com:50001 --> forwarded to the port 3389 of computer 1
- subdomain.mydomain.com:50002 --> forwarded to the port 3389 of computer 2
- subdomain.mydomain.com:50003 --> forwarded to the port 3389 of computer 3
and so on...
Can the port number in addresses be masked so that users would type above addresses as shown below and port will be forwarded to respective computers?
- subdomain1.mydomain.com --> forwarded to the port 3389 of computer 1
- subdomain2.mydomain.com --> forwarded to the port 3389 of computer 2
- subdomain3.mydomain.com --> forwarded to the port 3389 of computer 1
and so on...
If yes, I wonder what would be the dns records for above such cases.
