the root to disable the original code which you say you can't get.
Or, hey, it's only 4 digits, you can stumble across it eventually. Less than 10 thousand possibilities.
I bought a used RCA RTDVD1 DVD Home Theater and discovered it had an unknown "parental control" 4 digit (number) code password entered. Subsequently, I cannot play some DVDs with a rating above this unknown "rating code" selection. I have been through the user manual and it seems I cannot change, delete, reset, or clear this unknown password unless I have the original 4 digit code. (The previous owner cannot be contacted.) "Restore to factory settings" procedure does NOT work to clear this unknown code. I have tried to find "hacks" but there appear to be none. There must be something I can do. Anyone have any solutions or ideas? Thank you.
