RCA LYRA- Need Help!

Dec 14, 2004 5:58AM PST

I have had my RCA Lyra 64MB MP3 Player for almost half a year now, and I use it mainly for my running. I run in cold cold weather, and thought I had a good mp3 player for $80, when just the other day it decides to just stop working. Tried new batteries, everything. You press play, the display pops up , and sometimes it even plays a second or two, and then the whole thing shuts off complelety....any ideas on what is wrong with this, or what caused this? thanks.

I have an RCA Lyra 128 Mb and encountered the same problem. I will never buy from them again. (If you bought and extended warranty maybe you can take it back)

I'd try rca.com and see if there is a firmware update you could install.

Try looking for a bump or scratch to see if it was damaged. Did it stop while playing, or when you tried to turn it on did it freze??
