Ray H. needs Grif's help again!!!

A friend's mother got a new laptop with Vista on it.

Apparently the version of Word that it has saves the Word documents as DOCX. Her Daughter, the friend, helps her with her documents, Mother is the Secretary for their community association, and uses her daughter to help with the minutes via email.

Wondering if saving the file as a ZIP in Vista is the same as one zips in XP using MS's version of zip.

I have no access to any computer using Vista.

The XP zip method worked with the .MDB emailing to the County computer. Their IT then unzips the file and it works fine.

I emailed friend to suggest looking for a file conversion program from MSKB or such.

This forum is one of the best books that one can buy, and the cost is a bargin.LOL

It should be possible for the mother to click on save as, then use the drop down menu and change to to .doc so everyne can open it.

Rick
