Rating system

Mar 14, 2005 2:12AM PST

I was thinking is there a way to get rated for helping people.Lets say someone anwsers a question that fixes someones computer and the person said ok germansal helped me fix the problem let me give him a point.I know sometimes alot of people answer the question but normally one answer hits the nail on the head. The ratings could be from computer newbie 1 to 50 point to computer geek 51 to 100 points to computer genius 101 to 200 point. I'll leave the rating system up to you guys What do you guys think

Great idea on the surface, but like Mark indicates...some flames, or else lots ole daggers thrown...Wink

I don't think the manager of these forums (a paid employee & possible stock holder)has that much spare time to manage it, and all the current Moderators are volunteers (not paid). Gee, some get under fire on lesser involvements, just think what will happen if they ..........

In a sense that is happening all the time.

When additional Moderators maybe needed, I certain that Lee Koo asks the present moderators for recommendations.

Remember that the Moderators read each and every post in their forums and certainly become aware of the people that provide much help. That's how most of them got to be Moderators over the years.

If the goal is simply forum recognition, the others are correct. Just visit the Speakeasy forum to see how easily battles arise and continue for hundreds of posts. LOL.
