Question

Ransomware safe backup software?

Hello, does anybody know of a ransomware safe backup software? E.g. one which backs up to an external drive/NAS with a special access right so that only the software has write access, or a software which pulls the back from the NAS so that the to be backed up system only has r/o access to the backup device?

Clarification

"which pulls the back from the NAS" must be "where the NAS pulls the to be backed up data from"

Never heard of such an app.

I have heard of NAS "permissions" that you set the share to be read only. But at no time did this permissions be so narrow as to only the app has write access.

Something odd going on here. When I worry about such things I use a blank USB HDD to do that clone of the infected system for later scanning.
