Only one other discussion I could find. See the link below:

Just a note though... The name involved on ransomware is irrelevant as it can easily be spoofed by the ransomware writer. Ignore the name, surf safe sites and don't open email from neighbors unless you're sure it's safe.
Hope this helps.

Started our computer earlier this week and it went through the usual start up behavior until it stopped at a blue screen with red letters, stating that the computer was locked unless Bitcoin payment was made to DJHARTLEY. It also said that "ransom will be made or files destroyed."
I unplugged the wifi unit, and the message was still on the screen. I did a hard restart, and the same thing happened.
All of the personal folders are backed up on a separate drive, so whatever ransomeware locking the PC didn't lock those files.
I went through the process of reinstalling windows and updating the security software. Currently, the pc is operating as it should.
A few weeks ago, a person in our neighborhood had a similar issue, some ransomeware locked up their computer also.
Has anyone heard of this DJHARTLEY ransomeware? I tried googling it and nothing seems to come up.
Thanks, in advance.
