Every so often, I go through a period where nothing wants to stay connected long. My IRC goes through connects and disconnects every 3-4 minutes, and I don't get any ping messages from the server. WoW drops out consistently. The shoutcast streaming radio cuts off, and doesn't reconnect normally.
Web pages still work, because these disconnects are just spikes, like as if the connection was suddenly cut, then let go again. Services that require streaming data fail, while websites just send chuncks. However, I would get times when websites wouldn't load or reload, and instead time out.
I use COX ISP in the Irvine area, a Linksys BEFSR41 router, what looks like a generic cable modem, and the default network card on an Intel PERL motherboard.
I have yet to ask if the other guys have the same problem. It could be just me.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
