Hello all, thanks for reading this post. Well, basically what happens is for no apparent reason my internet cuts out. All the proper lights are on (on the cable modem) and I can usually only resolve the problem if i restart my computer or (sometimes) power-cycle my router 'n modem. The thing is, if I have something open before the internet cuts out (AIM or a bittorrent app)I will remain connected and able to talk to individuals and torrent files will continue to download. If I then disconnected then from AIM and try to reconnect, it will not work. I ipconfig /all and DNS servers are showing up, nothign seems unusual. Also, about 80% when my internet "cuts out" (cant browse the web or connect to anything new) i can actually ping sites and it all the packets come backk 100%. And finally, sometimes if I wait long enough, the problem will resolve itself without a restart or a modem & router restart. Im going through a linksys router and use Cox highspeed cable internet. Often my internet will "cut out" and my roommates will continue to work fine. Any thoughts on this? It is driving me nuuuuuttts, please help!
